Awards
The purpose of the Young Investigator Award is to recognize excellent contributions whose primary authors are young investigators; based on originality, clarity, scientific merit and potential impact.
Eligibility: Young investigators must be aged 35 or below at the time of the WCB2010, must be the first author on the submitted paper, have made a substantial contribution to the submitted work and must present the paper/poster at the conference.
Award: The YIA Award comprises of a certificate and monetary prize. One gold, silver and bronze award will be given for each of the six conference themes.
Application: In addition to the conference abstracts, which is to be submitted through the normal abstract submission system, applicants for the WCB Young Investigator Award must also submit: (1) the YIA application form and (2) a four-page manuscript using the prescribed format posted on the paper submission page.

Student Travel Award (Sponsored by WCB 2006)
Eligibility: Any full-time student in good standing is eligible to receive a travel award to assist in defraying the cost of attending WCB2010. The awards will be presented at the Congress and students must attend the Congress to receive the award. Priority will be given to students who are first authors on papers presented at the congress and to students from developing countries. Students residing in
Award: Each Student Travel Award comprises of a cash prize of 500 Euro, or
Application: In addition to the conference abstract(s), which are to be submitted through the normal abstract submission system, applicants for the student travel award must submit their application form and include (i) a one-page curriculum vita that lists the student’s research interests, projects, and papers published; and (ii) a letter from the student’s faculty advisor indicating why the student is deserving of receiving a travel award and any special circumstances here:
